Easter Workshop, painted- Wilhelm Schweizer Pewter

Hand engraved pieces of slate are used for the molds of the pewter figurines. Molten pewter from a centuries old recipe is poured into the mold. The new casting is removed from the mold, carefully trimmed, and then prepared for the talented artist to paint. The figurine is carefully paint with extremely fine detail. Since each piece is hand painted by an individual artist, the colors from piece to piece may vary, thus making each piece unique with handcrafted workmanship.
